Agents of Change

The little guy on the right is an, agent of change’ (AOC); we know this because of the raincoat, the hat and the glasses. May be he’s a bad guy looking to cause a commotion, undertake an investigation or delve into policy and procedure. Change is bad and he looks like he could be trouble, turning up changing stuff, implementing guidelines and rules.

On the other hand he might be on the side of the angels. He could be you or me, he could say that change presents opportunity, that it’s better to create the future than try and predict it. That change is a force for good. Agents of change are everywhere, right now. They live amongst us, sometimes under assumed names; Mrs Jones, Head of HR, Mr Smith, CEO, Miss Bond, primary school teacher. You might not know them until the change has started, until they reveal themselves as agents of change OR until you join them, until you commit to becoming an agent of change in the worlds that you inhabit. You could become and AOC right now; you just need to decide on the one thing that you’ll do differently.
