Who we are

BigBlueStuff is a performance consulting business. Central to this is our strong belief in COACHING TO CONSULT.

Fundamerntally, that what lies underneath a clients need to improve performance must be thoroughly understood before any meaningful consulting can take place.

Coaching as we define it is ‘seeking first to understand’ and consulting ‘giving professional advice to others so that they can increase performance in their chosen sphere of operation’.?

Big Blue Stuff’s experience is that coaching at the outset of any client engagement accelerates the process of truly understanding the client’s requirements at an almost exponential rate to any other way of consulting.

Consultants deployed with a greater understanding of the clients need WILL deliver sustainable business results.

Big Blue Stuff’s approach is one of coaching to deliver world class consultancy, an approach developed and deployed with organisations both large and small, from multi-billion pound capital investment projects delivered by a BigBlueStuff coach with an outstanding track record in project management, to a Bigbluestuff coach working with many directors from a BIG 4 consultancy firm instilling in them a coaching approach to their consulting, which yields accelerated change in their teams, clients and tangible results in leadership delivery.

BigBlueStuff - Coaching the client to understand their performance requirement. Deploying consultants to deliver outstanding business results.

During the last decade we have enabled senior executives in industry, government departments and the organisation leading a multi-billion pound renewable energy project for UK PLC. We have also invested time developing future leaders of Surf Life Saving in Great Britain, worked with inspired individuals on a 1-2-1 basis and enabled future generations to simply ask better questions to get better answers and make better choices with stronger resolve about what’s next.

Cliff Kimber

My passion is for the positive connotation of, 'What's next?' exploring possible futures and enabling individuals, teams and organizations to gain agility.

I have a Master’s Degree is in Coaching and Development from a UK business school, I am an Associate Consultant at Bristol Business School at the University of Western England and a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts (FRSA), as well as a Member of the Institute of Directors (MIOD).

Prior to my career in performance coaching and consulting I spent fifteen years in sales and publishing, working with such luminaries as Auberon Waugh and culminating as Publisher and General Manager at Tennis GB, a subsidiary of the LTA, reporting to the Board and worked in B2B publishing in-between.

My undertaking is to be present in life’s unfolding and I pursue this through learning to ride waves, considering a Doctoral thesis, martial thinking (Sun Tzu thro' to Boyd), writing, singing and enjoying the question, 'What's next?'.

Pete Lawrence

I have a honours degree in Mechanical Engineer and have spent over ten years project managing the delivery of multi–million pound projects across the UK in both the private and public sectors.

People and process have always been an integral part of my work and it still amazes me how many projects, businesses and organisations fail through a simple lack of alignment of people and process to outcome.

I have a Postgraduate qualification in Coaching and Development from a UK business school an Advanced Diploma in performance coaching and I am certified to deliver LSP (Lego® Serious Play™).

I am a member of the Association of Project Management, a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts (FRSA), Chairman of Bantham Surf Life Saving Club, Trustee of Surf Life Saving GB a volunteer beach lifeguard and and RNLI inshore rescue boat cox and crew.

Constantly seeking to challenge my physical and mental resolve I am a keen sportsman with honours in many fields. I count amongst my most inspiring achievements, running the "Three Peaks Challenge" in 21 hours and back to back marathons across the South Downs Way.

My life is inspired by being in, on or by the ocean.
